  1. YOUR PLANTS WILL DIE IF THEY ARE NOT WATERED!
  2. When hand watering- water each plant or tree around its base. Make sure to thoroughly soak the base without washing away the soil.
    • Spring- temps between 50-75°, deep water one time per week
    • Summer- temps between 75-100°, heavy deep water every 3rd day
    • Fall- Same as Spring

Thoroughly water until the entire root ball is saturated. Water only when the top of the soil (not mulch) dries out. If the top of the soil is still moist from your previous watering, there is no need to water that day. Too much water will invite disease and may rot the root system, but you must make sure each and every plant or tree is getting a sufficient amount of water.

  3. Plants will tend to wilt or brown after installation due to stress from uprooting, delivery and planting. Do not be too concerned if you are following the above care.
  4. Be careful to keep pets and other chemicals away from your plants.
  5. Some plants may look dead or damaged after the winter months due to their growth habit. It is important to wait until May/June to properly evaluate their health.
  6. If you have any varieties of holly, rhododendron or laurels, we highly recommended applying Wilt-Pruf® in late fall/early winter to protect the leaves against winter burn.
  7. Deer do most of their damage during the winter time, but may eat plants/trees during any given season. If you notice deer damage, please contact us immediately so that we can advise of the proper remedies.
  8. Should you have an existing sprinkler system, it is very important to contact your sprinkler company to make sure that your settings are appropriate for both NEW plants and the current temperatures. THE SURVIVAL OF YOUR PLANTS ARE DEPENDENT ON EITHER YOU OR THE SPRINKLER COMPANY MAKING THE SEASONAL ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR SYSTEM TO ACCOMMODATE CHANGES IN TEMPERATURES.

At Parker Homescape, we pride ourselves in having happy customers and we want you to enjoy your new plants for years to come! It is imperative that you follow these instructions word for word. The health and longevity of your plants depend on it!
